Senior Data-Plane Engineer

You'll own the code on the fast path — the forwarding engine that moves subscriber traffic at line rate. This is high-performance systems work where a nanosecond matters and correctness is non-negotiable.

What you'll do

  • Build and optimize DPDK / P4 forwarding pipelines for 800G-class throughput
  • Profile and eliminate latency at the microsecond level across NUMA and cache boundaries
  • Implement QoS, CGNAT, and tunneling primitives on the data path
  • Work with control-plane engineers on the PFCP interface and state sync

What we look for

  • Strong C/C++ or Rust and hands-on experience with high-performance packet processing
  • Familiarity with DPDK, XDP/eBPF, SmartNICs, or P4 programmable pipelines
  • A deep understanding of L2/L3 networking and modern transport (MPLS, SRv6, EVPN)
  • A bias for measurement — you reach for a profiler before an opinion

Nice to have

  • Experience shipping software that runs in a carrier or hyperscaler network
  • Contributions to open-source networking or kernel projects
